Matcha Tea Squares

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Xanthan gum
  • 3/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp high-quality Matcha green tea powder

3/4 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup toasted walnut crumbs

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter, unsalted, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients and blend well.
  3. In a small bowl, mix all wet ingredients with a mixer.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
  5. Incorporate the shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and walnut crumbs carefully into the dough. Don’t overwork the mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into a 8×8 inch baking dish and bake for 25-30 min.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares.
